I was just wondering if anyone here used Dr. Michael Williams for roux-en-y. I am just curious about what I need to have at home for when I get home from surgery.

Also, I have read nothing but wonderful reviews on him. My surgery is scheduled for March 31st at Emory John's Creek. I am super excited!

Lori,

From everything that I know, Dr. Williams has an excellent reputation.  I general I am not a fan of the Emory sytem.  However, John's Creek and Emory Midtown (formerly Crawford Long) are exceptions.

As far as what you need, I suggest you look at the food/drink list from the nutritionist.  That should give you some ideas.  I would also suggest getting some drink samples.  I think you should have your vitamins on hand so you can begin taking them per the surgeon's instructions.

Any other questions, just ask away!

Dr Williams did my RNY surgery...and I thank him every time I see him for giving me my 'life back'.  I had my initial surgery Emory Dunwoody (relocated to John's Creek), and lots of the bariatric nurses did relocate to John's Creek.  The nurses are wonderful there too.
