Ikea is having their Holiday buffet event this Friday, Dec 10 6:00pm - 8:30pm.The email they sent out says this event requires advance ticket purchase. I went to the store and got tickets since I live close by, but check their website to see if there are other options.

A real protein fest: All you can eat Swedish meatballs, Herring, smoked salmon, poached salmon, Christmas ham, sausage, liverwurst pate, boiled eggs with shrimp, assorted cheeses, and plenty of Swedish side dishes.

Prices: $9.99 for adults, $2.49 for kids under 12.

Sounds fun...strange though that "All you can eat" used to mean something much different than it does now!

All you can eat is nothing like pre-op, for sure. One plate will probably be "all I can eat". But I really like Ikea's restaurant, and it's a good price. Are you still on liquids? I was the first 6 weeks, but give it some time and you'll be surprised.

No...i've moved to 'soft foods.'

Basic diet now is deli meat and cheese, chili, tuna salad, eggs. holding off for a while til i get to 'real food.'

i am already surprising me just how much i can eat though (although the portions are much smaller than before. (e.g. 1/2 cup of chili fills me up).
