1 Yr. Bandiversary
You are so hard on yourself, girl! 50 pounds, wow, this is great! You are a short girl like me and we just like to go a little slower than others do! LOL! Imagine what you felt like with 50 pounds still on you! I know you feel better and you know deep down inside you that you are blossoming! Stay the course, eat healthy, remember that the band is only a tool, not a "miracle worker"! Congratulations on your sucessful accomplishment and keep on keeping on! Love ya! :)
P.S. Go outside and pick up something 50 pounds and carry it for 1 min. and see how that will make you feel! Good reality check!

Congrats on your 50 lb weight loss... 50 lbs....!!! That is amazing! I remember a conversation I had with Richard simmons years ago about losing weight slowly. He said to think of each 1/4 lb lost as a stick of butter.... well 50 lbs is 200 sticks of butter.... all that gone from your body forever!!! amazing. Having said that I can tell you that I had two lapbands over 8 years and lost about a total of 50 lbs. A year ago August I had revised to gastric bypass and lost another 100 lbs. I am very happy and sorry I did not do the bypass from day 1. I can surely relate to the disappointment of the band but having lost about the same as you with the band I know that that is an accomplishment in itself. Much luck and good health always. Maryjo
