Wellcare Insurance Pre-Op Requirements

Has anyone here had Georgia Wellcare pay for their Lap Band? I am wanting to find out what their pre-op requirements are and how long it usually takes for approval. Right now, I have just straight Medicaid which will pay for the surgery, but it will not pay for the Psyc or the Nutritional Evaluations and I can't afford to pay for them out of pocket right now. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

 I would call them and ask what their bariatric surgery requirements are and how/what they cover (some insurances only cover certain surgeons, etc). Get a copy of that information, etc hard copies for your own records. That's the best way to go about it so you can use it as a form of a checklist. Sometimes that information might be on their websites as well.
