Date for surgery
I am so happy you finally got your date! As for what to do until the big day, you should try to keep yourself as healthy as possible. Any extra weight you can get off before surgery will just make things less risky in the operating room, and will make recovery easier. Also walking and doing cardio exercises will make your heart healthier and stronger for the anesthesia.
Since you already have your insurance approval, you can lose as much as you want now, and you don't have to worry about your bmi getting too low.
Now is the time to start ordering protein samples to try to find one you like, attending support groups, and developing a good circle of post-op buddies who will be there for you as you recover.
Also research, research, research. I still research DS all the time. You can never learn enough about your wls. If you can get a copy of Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies. It is a great book. They have it at GA Pines Library, and they will order a copy and ship it to you for free if you have a library card.
Maybe you will be far enough out from surgery to make the meet n greet in Savannah April 23? I would like to meet some of the south GA ladies when I am down there.
