I'm in heaven
I sit here saited and warm. Why you ask? I am one week out today. I spent 5 hours shopping with my Mom and I was tired. So I thought I would venture to an item on the "can eat" list that I have been afraid to try. Thinned, watery grits. Yes, I said grits. Not just any old grits, but instant cheese grits! After the first two bites from my baby spoon, I sat and pondered for a moment to see how it would settle in the week old pouchy. Felt warm. Mmmm. Over the next thirty minutes I relished every tiny bite, chewing thoroughly and tasting every grain.

This was one of my best meals too, I really liked the way that the warmth felt and they really tasted great. I would like to wish you the best on your journey.

I love cheese grits too. I keep them in my desk for my emergency breakfasts. If you add a couple of slices of cheese to them it gives you extra protein, plus you can make them w/ skim milk instead of water.

That's 17g protein!!! when you can do meats, crumble some bacon or sausage and eggs for extra protein
If you have to eat slowly, keep one of those mug/candle warmers on your desk and make it in a coffee mug to keep it warm. Nothing worse than cold grits!
