I no longer qualify!
Based on the guidelines of the SHBP insurance and the guidelines set forth by the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons (or whatever they call themselves), at a BMI of 34.7, I NO LONGER QUALIFY FOR WLS!
Considering I started this journey 21 months ago with a BMI of 59.5, I feel like I've accomplished something!
Woo Hoo!
Oh and at my 6 month check up (well, 6 month + 1 week) last Friday, the surgeon was very pleased with my progress and the 111 pounds since my pre-op visit with him.

No I actually really like his office. Especially Tifany. She's been incredible helpful to me.
I'm just concerned about what his post-op support team will be like. I've heard a few things that concern me. But I chose him because he's got a fabulous record and is a great surgeon.
Best wishes on your journey!

Thank you Linda. Looks like you are doing pretty good yourself, based on your ticker.
I experiences a funny thing yesterday...I felt my knees. I was in the locker room at the gym and my legs were naked (didn't have on pants yet) and my knees touched. It felt very weird. I think I've lost so much fat from my thighs that my knees touched! It was weird!
