breakfast cereal
Do you like oatmeal?
Be careful with the cereal this early out. try to focus on protein. You have a little pouch and if you fill it with cereal you may not have room for the protein. I know it's hard, but in a few months you can eat anything you want.

After a month, I was allowed to eat Corn Flakes. I only have 1/4 cup of corn flakes, with 1/4 cup of fat free milk along with 4 ounces of Lite Activia yoguart. That gives me 7 grams of protein for breakfast. Something else would probably be better for protein, so you would need to make sure you get the rest in during the day.

You might want to try Special K Protein Plus cereal. Corn Flakes consistency, but has 10(?) grams of protein. I don't eat cereal the way I did pre-op. Cereal was a breakfast food staple...all I ate for breakfast. Now, occasionally, I'll put about 1/2 a serving in my yogurt. You could also try Bare Naked Granola. There is a protein one. But depending on your doc's guidelines, it might be too high in something (I don't remember, but I remember it wasn't the most appropriate granola for me to pick). I also bought a sugar free granola from netrition.com. They have some GREAT low carb/carb free stuff on that site. And you can see all the nutritional info online.
Good luck!

That's quite a few carbs, but I don't eat a whole serving. It's very filling and reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch...yum. I eat it with just a splash of milk to get it a bit wet. BUT I just started eating this about a month ago. I'm not sure that I would have being as early out as you are, but you can check with your nut/surgeon.

Across the United States, in 2006, twice as many people died from lack of health insurance as died from homicide.
