Whatcha Eating?

I always find the whatcha eating posts interesting. Besides the fact I'm a recovering foodie. I always think it's neat what differsdnt people from different parts of the country and different ethnic backgrounds eat. Also interesting what different surgery types eat.

I always looked at these as a pre-op and I'll admit it did influence my descision to have DS. Some of the tiny portions scared me away, and seeing the DS'ers having a pack of bacon a day was appealing. Wouldn't you know now that I'm post op I don't even like bacon all that much anymore??? Go figure? 


YESTERDAY:
b: 2 mcdonalds egg mcmuffins w/ just 1 of the muffins and large unsweet tea
s: yogurt w/ granola
l: 3 blackjack tacos from taco bell
s: bag of microwave popcorn w/ extra butter (DS malabsorbs fat) had almost a whole bag
s: a few sugar free jelly bely sours
s: regular roast beef from Arby's w/ 1/2 of the bread and lots of mayo.
(worked til 7:00, so I did a lot of snacking)
d: 8 hotwings from walmart deli and a few spoons of potato salad
s: yogurt and small plum


TODAY:
b: 2 packs instant cheese grits w/ 2 slices cheese, 2 sausage patties
l: plan on having a side salad from chik fil a w/ a can of tuna
s: ice cream from chic fil a and some trail mix
s: ???? don't know, but I'll be hungry cause I'm working late
d: 3-6 oz griled teriaki salmon w/ stir fried green beans w/ garlic and soy sauce
s: orange

Need to fit in about 20g more protein in here somewhere. Will figure it out sometime today.

WHY I CHOSE DS: 
No dumping.  Highest percentage of weight loss, Best long term results,  Won't regain weight!  Eat normal sized meals,  96% diabeties, 90% high blood pressure, 80% sleep apnea cured.                                    I  MY DS!

Hi.  Hope all is well.  I have not lost anything in the last 4 weeks.  Decided to start the 5 day pouch test today.

Day 1 & 2 - Liquids only - protein drinks, milk, broth, etc.
Day 3 - Soft proteins - can eat as much as you want
Day 4 - Firm proteins
Day 5 - Solid proteins

Like I said, I'm on Day 1 so we'll see how it goes.
