Hi again, I got my approval from UHC on Friday, and Dr. Macik's office scheduled my surgery for December 4th at Emory John's Creek.

I'm excited, nervous, emotional, thrilled, relieved..and mostly READY!!!!

I'll be hanging around here more and more now. It's finally feeling real. WOW!

That's a great early Christmas gift.  I'm sure you'll really enjoy Thanksgiving, you last family feast pre-op!

How exciting!  You will be all recovered and back to normal before Christmas.

Is that how far out Dr. Macik's office is scheduling? I am submitting on Nov. 13th and trying to have the surgery by the end of the year.  They said it would be no problem, but I don't know.

Good luck!

CC, thank you for the offer. That is really sweet!

Olliebobs, the problem is not being scheduled for surgery, it was getting the appointment for my cardiac clearance. Tifany in the office gave me the place where I have to go and I could not get an appointment before November 19th. You might want to call now and get on their books, or risk not being able to do it before year end. That was a critical thing for me too since my insurance is changing and I have no idea whether the new policy will cover WLS or not.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. I'm excited. Starting to make lists of what I need to do between now and then.

That is a good idea.  I think I will call Tiffany tomorrow and see what I can do.

What all is involved in the cardiac clearance? Any idea what the costs are???

I think it's just an EKG,and I have no idea on the costs. It will be covered by my insurance and I'll just pay the co-payment for the office visit.
