           WOW!!!

President Obama is the 3rd serving US President to win the Nobel Peace Prize. He makes me proud to be an American.
Hopefully this will give him the motivation to go forward with trying to fix our broken economy, and let's not even think of the healthcare issues.  I know it must be discouraging for him at times to try to carry on when you have all the odds stacked against you.  He is living proof that you really can achieve anything if you put your mind to it, no matter where you start from.

I am so thrilled that President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.   Who better to get it?    He hit the ground running and has just kept plugging along despite all the flack and obsticles.    You are correct- he does make ME proud to be an American too.

I'm not sure I would have wanted my staff to wake me up to tell me though.   That kind of good news can wait---I would have said don't wake me unless it's something that demands my attention immediately.   I'm sure he gets little enough sleep as it is.

Congratulations to America's President Obama!

Bonnie,

The honor came with a $$$$MILLION$$$$ Dollar prize.

For a million dollars you can wake me any time!

The only dilemma now is what to do if we get attacked by another country or a terrorist group. Can a peace prize winner go to war???      Maybe he can call up Palin and ask her to push the button for him. Will it count against him then?

I think Obama will do whatever is best for the country.  I think he will first try all he can to change things peacefully though.  I think he will also insist that he have more evidence before he commits this country to war.

My son will soon retire from the Navy.   He was in the 1st scuffle with Iraq, and he did 3 tours with the Marines in this current one.    His last tour of duty was in Afghanistan.   He is home now, for good hopefully.  I am very proud of my him.

I guess you could say it was a good reason to wake the president, but it was something that could have waited----only, if the Publisher's Clearing House people want to wake me up---I guess that will be okay!   LOL!

I'm so happy to see these positive comments.  There is a cat fight going on on the main board.  I am proud to be an American and respect the president of this great country!
