I went for my initial consult yesterday. I was told I need a chest x-ray. I don't have a Dr. and NO ins. I just spent over 30 mins. on the phone calling around and have been told that none of the places will do the x-ray if I don't see the Dr. there. The ER told me I have to have a "code" to even get a price on it!

Any suggestions???

My chest x-ray at the hospital was not very expensive i think only around $45.  you need to get the cpt code from your surgeon's office and the billing office at the hospital will give it to you

have you tried any chiropractor offices for prices. They usually do cheap x-rays???

Ask your weight loss physician to write you a referral to the hospital for the testing that way you can skip the pcp.  Hope that helps.
