Vending Machines Are Evil!!!
This morning I was in the break room at the office making my cheese grits in the microwave. Some subliminal force beconed me to turn around and gaze into the snack machine. Now, we don't have a healthy snack machine in the office. Pretty much chips, crackers, or candy, so I knew nothing in there had any business going into my mouth.
Well, to my dismay the little six packs of chocholate covered cake doughnuts began whispering my name. "LaShelle, LaShelle, eat me, we miss you, we're lonely in here." Now, on July 25, I could have easily polished off 2 packs of those little gems, but now even though I could get an entire pack down my DS sleeve, I know I'd pay for it tomorrow morning with an extra trip to the potty.
Ya'll I swear I could smell the chocholate through the glass. I tiptoed closer. Looked over my shoulder. Lord I hope nobody comes in here and catches me salivating over these damned doughnuts. I came >-----< this close to LICKING the glass! I knew deep down inside that by the end of the day the doughnuts would win, and I'd cave in and get a pack and eat just one, well maybe 2, 3, 4, Oh what the hell may as well finish the whole pack, I'm gonna be sick anyway... Get the point.
So, I BOUGHT ALL OF THEM!!! Yep, I spent $4.50 on 6 packs of chocholate covered doughnuts from the vending machine.
I then gave them out to everyone in my department as treats for being such wonderful co-workers. That was the only way to keep me from having them myself. Better on their hips than mine right?
I really crack ME up. I am a piece of work for sure.
If you have a crazy story of how you had to fight food demons, I'd love to hear it!
p.s. I did have the cheese grits w/ 2 slices cheese and 2 sausage patties. 26g protein. Yay ME!!!
