My surgery will be 11/23/09 at 7:30 am.   I chose that date to minimize the number of days I have to be out of work, but don't know how I am going to stand waiting for 8 weeks!  I am already making lists...groceries, what to take to the hospital, questions for Dr., etc.

Wow, we were almost scheduled for the same day!  But, I decided to wait until the week of Thanksgiving.  Will you be at Emory Johns Creek Hospital?  Have you already started buying supplements and protein shakes?  I don't meet with the nutritionist until Nov. 18th, so I don't know what to stock up on.  Do you know?  I assume that Macik and Johnson are pretty similar in their recommendations.

Congratulations!  That is very exciting.  The time will fly by...I can't believe it is almost October!

Fantastic!!  I'm very excited for you!  It will be here before you know it.  Use this time to stock up on your vitamins, protein ect.  I would suggest you get some small snack containers and a small plate to use special for your meals.  It really helped me not feel like I was not eating anything when my container was full.. LOL

Starting Weight: 325;  Pre Surgery Weight: 314

Congratulations on getting your date.  It will be here before you know it.
If you haven't starting walking or exercising, start now if you can.  It will make it easier after the surgery.
Good Luck!!

Congrats. The best thing you can do for yourself is start walking and trying to do a low carb diet.  It will help get your heart and liver in shape for surgery.

Keep us posted on the details as your date approaches.
