Walk from Obesity Rain Plan???

Does anyone know if they will still do the walk if it rains. The weather forecast predicts it may be a rainy day.   I was looking forward to coming out and cheering you guys on.  If anyone hears an update let me know please.

Also, if you get done with the walk on time don't forget to swing my the Meet & Greet. You don't need a reservation, just drop in.  If you aren't a dancer, you're welcome to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the show.   It is only about 10 minutes from the park. While you're up and out you may as well kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone.

I don't know about a rain contingency plan.  But usually, these type of events take place rain or shine.  I just hope it's shining between say 8:30-11am.

The latest forecast says the rain will come in the evening. I sure hope so because I hate getting out in the rain.   We should pick a spot in the park to meet after the walk, since a few of us from the board will be there.  What do you think?

Good idea, but after the walk, I'm outta there.  I have to go very important dress shopping tomorrow...unless of course the water extraction people are coming tomorrow instead of today. 

That's another story.  I've had damage from the recent rains and while damage is minimal comparitively speaking, I think it's gonna cost a lot of money I don't have to fix.

Ooh I'm sorry about the water damage.   Will you be eligible for fema help?

You know, I have no idea!  Thank you for mentioning that!  I live in Cobb county, so I'm in one of the areas that is eligible.  Do you know where I would find out if I qualify for assistance and how to get it?

I hope they actually help people with this one.  With Katrina and 911  all these people donated millions of dollars to the Red Cross and it never made it to the people.   Since then I've always felt there was something fishy about how the Red Cross operates???

What are they doing with all the money people donate?

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this one.  I've wondered about the Red Cross.  I mean, they do good things, but like you said, a lot of the money people donated didn't get to the people who needed it. 

I figured it out.  I'm registered with FEMA.  Don't know if or what I'll qualify for, but I'll take any assistance I can get.
