I am hoping for Lap Banding on Friday the 30th of October.
Do you think it would be "pushing it" to attend the OH event the next week?
Can you also explain how the clothing exchange works - if we are all setting up - does it turn into a Filene's Basement "fight" for wedding dresses?

Assuming it is laproscopic, yes you should be ok. Just don't try to overdo it. You may consider booking a room. That way you can catnap if you want to.
If you run into problems you'll be in the best place in Atlanta, since you'll be surrounded by tons of post ops and medical profesionals to help you!!

You should be fine but I would make sure someone drove you and was there to take you home if you get to feeling bad or as Lashelle suggested get a room there so you can rest as you need to.
Im sure the exchange will be a first come first serve bases but I've not attended one that was at a large event such as this one so not sure what they have planned.
