I just want to send my apologies to everyone who has e-mailed me and has not received a response. I decided to rent a condo by the beach for a few weeks.  I dropped by the library today to use the computer and check my e-mail.  I am sneaking and using the computer at some fancy hotel's business center to type this (dont tell nobody hee hee).  I really need to get a laptop.

So, I am chillin and healing in Panama City.   I need a break from this surgery. I am having a hard time with getting healthy again.  I am hoping a change of scenery will be a productive diversion.

I am really sruggling to get on track, and sitting at home was really depressing.  I just feel like a wet dish rag every damned day!  I have yet to meet a protein drink I like.  I feel like crap! I figure if I am gonna feel miserable, I should at least feel miserable by the beach.

It is really quiet here, since the crowds are back in school.

I hope protein shakes taste better with an ocean view.

I'll be back in touch in a few weeks.

LaShelle,
I hope your time in Florida helps you to feel better.  I know since my surgery this seems to be all consuming and it is hard to do anything else, but I wouldn't change it for anything!!
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Thanks for all you do for the Georgia Board.

I know how hard it is....I remember crying (a lot), but every day will get a little better, you will see.  Once you have more of a variety of food it seems to help too.  And when you see the pounds start coming off and sizes getting smaller....and being able to do more physically you will feel so much better.

You might want to journal your thoughts and feelings.  I just found my journal (I started it 2 weeks prior to surgery and kept it for the first 18 months).  As I read back on it...it brought me back there and I was so glad I wrote it all down.

Enjoy Florida and I hope you are getting some sunshine!

Hugs,

Ginger

Just hang in their Girlfriend, it will get better each day.

LaShelle,
Hang in there. I know the first few weeks are rough. I spent at least a couple of weeks wondering what I did and if I made a mistake. I never shared it with anyone only to find out many others also went through this. If you need anything let me know.

I know there is an old saying..."A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work".  It has to apply here.  "A bad day at the beach is better than a good day at home??"  Oh well, it sounded good at the time.
I do miss seeing you on here.  You always give the best advice!  I know a couple of weeks at the beach will do you good.  Take care of yourself.  We miss you!

Hi sweetie.  I have been looking for your posts and worrying about you.  I am on travel for business and knew I would have an opportunity to check on you today.  I'm glad I saw this post.  I hope you get to feeling better.  I didn't have such a hard time but I was very careful about what I tried to eat and how much.  I don't like protein drinks either.  I still use Atkins shakes.  I mix them with my morning coffee and that is breakfast.  I ate pudding, yogurt - couldn't do apple sauce.  I did do soups well.  Some solid food still don't do well for me but I'm OK with that.  I wrote everything down in the beginning to keep track of my protein.  I will be praying for you.  Take care and enjoy your time at the beach.  You absolutely need some time for focusing on your protein intake, etc.  If I can help in any way let me know.  Linda
