Support Group Information Needed

Hello everyone,

I currently attend my surgeon's support group meetings (Northside Hospital - Dr. Paul Macik) on the 2nd Thursdays of each month.  I am looking for additional meetings throughout the week/month as I am really struggling at this point.  Please let me know of any meetings that you attend.  Specifically I need the day, time and location of the meetings.

I attend one at Dekalb Medical Center  it on the third Wednesday and last Monday of the month at 7:30pm. I also attend one at Emory Johns Creek on the third Saturday of the month at 10:30am.

Thanks for the information about Johns Creek.  Unfortunately, Wednesday is the one day of the week that I work late (til 8:00).  As such I would not be able to attend that meeting.  When my schedule changes, I will certainly keep that meeting in mind.

I may go tomorrow.... I am looking for a dermatologist....but what does a derm have to do with WLS?

I had several request for a derm to come.  When you lose the weight there are a lot of issues with redundant skin, rashes and in general a lot of people have sun damage and spots or areas they want looked at. 


When I was trying to get the redundant skin removed my derm wrote a really awesome letter to help me.  I had massive amounts of skin.  When you are in the office remind me I will show you pictures of me in a bikini with all the skin....(not a pretty picture).....

She is really awesome and has volunteered and done several free screenings for the hospital.  Really nice lady too.
