Approved and still waiting for surgery date
I feel like I'm always venting...
SO I've been approved for my surgery since last monday. My surgeons office still has not contacted me, so I called and said have you all recieved the hard copy approval, No, Still know nothing. SO I call the insurance company AGAIN, there is no hard copy required... WHAT????? Why would my surgeons office not know this or be able to find this out. Call my surgeons office, had to leave a voicemail of course, then I emailed.... No Response, So I called today got the supervisor on the phone asking What is going on??? They have to have a hard copy for their records.. So they will request it from insurance, but until they have it, nothing can be done! The surgeon has not even SEEEEENNNNN my file.. So they won't even put me in surgery scheduling. GGGRRRRRR The person i have found to be most helpful is a lady at my insurance company. She is emailing me a hard copy of a brief note stating the approval.... At this point, I'm still waiting, still wondering and still just as frustrated!!!! Thanks for always listening to my vents.. Hopefully one day, you'll hear my successes!!!!!

Good luck. Hopefully you will hear something soon. I have 1 month left of my 6-month diet with my PCP before I submit my stuff to my surgeon for it to be sent to insurance. I'm so nervous that I won't get approved...and wondering how long I will have to wait.
