I need a doctor recommendation

Hi, I'm new to the site and new to bariatric surgery.  I'm wanting to have roux en Y gastric bypass surgery and I need a great doctor.  I was looking into Dr. Champion but found out he's not in network with my insurance which is Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice PPO.  So, I'm in desperate need of a great doctor.  This already been a frightening even I want someone who isnt new and know what they're doing and care about you and your well being.  So, if anyone have any recommendations please help me out.  Thanks.

Dr Celio Burrowes at Atlanta Medical Center!  He is the best!!  Very professional and to the point. His office staff is great and very helpful.
We have support group meetings the first Tuesday of every month in Conyers at the American Legion off of Hwy 138/20.  Good luck!

Do they do the Roux En Y gastric bypass surgery?

Yes, I had RNY with the Fobi pouch (optional).  They are also a Center of Excellence.  I have BC/BS PPO insurance and they were very easy to work with.  I was approved in less than 2 weeks!

Hi.  I have Federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO and Dr. Paul Macik was my doctor.  It was very quick getting approval once I was ready.  His office is right next to Northside Hospital and my surgery was at Northside Hospital.  He has a web site - you can google it.  He has been doing tons of surgeries and is a Center of Excellence doctor.  Check him out.  Not much of a personality but a good doctor.  Let me know if you want any other info.

Awesome Doctor.  To me he is the Greatest.

I went to Dr William Johnson and while I did like him, he was great, his office staff has treated me horribly. I'm 6 weeks out, have had several issues, and zero support from the office. The one time I got in to see him, he wanted to know why I hadn't called him. Sorry to disappoint him, but I did call and office didn't tell him

You will love Dr.Steinberg, and his office staff.  They are all so Sweet.  He is having a Seminar this Thursday @ Dekalb Medical Center @ 4:00 P.M.

I am new as well and found Dr, Steinberg on the internet.
I have met with he and his staff twice now and today she called me with my surgery schedule. Its Sept. 24th! I am excited but very nervous as well.
Can you tell me more about the meet and greet meetings?
I love two hours away but I have a place to stay in Marrietta, GA.

Dr Titus Duncan is the best. Also he does not have that large lump sum requirement as some of the other doctors. His office number is 404-881-8020.
