UHC 6 month PCP visits

I have United Health Care through the state.  I know there are some others on our board. I am hoping for some advice.

I started my 6 month PCP supervised diet on June 30.  Everything is going great.  My sixth month will be November. I am trying to have the surgery before the end of the year.
I know I have to do sixth months, consecutively.  I have not seen it written it has to be 180 days.  I think most people assume it is though.
My plan is to have the last PCP diet visit around Nov. 12th.  I called my coordinator, Dorothy and asked her if it had to be 180. She said it does not..it just has to be consecutive.
I discussed my plan with Dr. Macik's office and they thought I could have the surgery before the end of the year.

Anyone who has my insurance have any thoughts?  I know I have seen posts about this, but no one with the same insurance.

Thanks

I DON'T SEE ANY REASON WHY NOT. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET IN AT LEAST 1 VISIT PER MONTH!

My coordinator stated the same thing.  She also told me to to move my appointments up a few days every month.  That way I can have my 6 months done and have a better chance of having my surgery close to a school holiday.

Is your coordinator Dorothy?  My nurse is Martha.  I think Dorothy works for Optinum Health and Martha works for UHC? Dorothy is very nice and support..she told me to hurry up the November appt. to get it approved quickly.

Kathy in my coordinator.  I make sure I write down everything she says and what date and time she said it.  She's really helpful and nice, but I document everything just to be safe.   I hear from so many people at the supports groups of problems with their coordinators or behavioral nurses.   I just want to have all my ducks in a row when the time comes.

Hi I have the same insurance.   Yes it is 6 month in a row....I am good with my pcp diet. I go see her each month. The six months of meeting slowed me down.  I will finish with the doctor in Sept. but not woth meetings till October. I am want my surgery done in December.   The closest meeting I could find is 100 miles away at the hospitialI where I am having surgery. My nurse that calls me is Kathy.  Let me know if you find out any other details.   Thanks

I am also hoping to have my surgery in December. My surgeon's office manager thinks there is a good possibility.  Of course, this is assuming I get approved.

Thanks for all the responses. Hopefully, things will work out for all of us.
