Dr. John Daly at Northside Hospital did my RNY Aug. 2003. I've lost over 200 lbs, more than 1/2 my highest body weight. My BMI before surgery was about 58.
Dr. Daly is awesome and I believe he does not have a maximum weight limit for surgery. I know he didn't used to have one. I believe he successfully operated on one patient who was 700+ lbs with a BMI over 90.

Northside Hospital has a weight loss surgery support group meeting at 5:45 PM the second Thursday of every month so there will be one this coming Thursday. It is free and everyone is welcome, pre-op and post-op and support people, no matter who your surgeon or what type of surgery. Dr. Daly and Dr. Macik are usually in attendance. When they are there, they will answer questions for people. I rarely miss a meeting.
The meeting is in a meeting room in the bottom floor of the 980 Johnson Ferry Road building. It is next to Northside Hospital. Dr. Daly's office is in that building and Dr. Macik's office is in the 960 building next door.

If you have any problems finding someone, there are some surgeons in Augusta who have done patients over 600 pounds.
I've lost over 400 pounds!
