Hello Gang,
I'm so BOARD!
, I have been looking

. Doing all the I can to find work. But I'm just like al the others that are looking too. I feel like I'm going to go crazy. But I hope that I can find work soon, But next week is not going to work well for me because I have to do JURY DUTY. But just as soon as that is over I will be back in the streets again looking. I hate being at home.

Sorry you're having a hard time, but try not to be stressed. You know I work @ DFCS and I have a lot of experience with people who have lost jobs recently.
Keep in mind it is taking people 6-12 months or more to get back to work. Doesn't mean it will take you that long, but just don't beat yourself up if you don't bounce back right away. It is not a reflection of you, but a reflection of the economy.
Have you applied for ucb? Have you checked to see if you are eligible for any public aid? Can your husband support you on his salary alone?
Now may be tghe time to evaluate your expoenses. Can you change to a more affordable cell phone plan? Can you cut out cable, magazine and newspaper subscriptions, dry cleaning?
PLease let us know what kin of work you want and what your experience is. MAybe someone on the board can share a good lead with you???

You know we never know what God has in store for us. One door has closed but an even better one will be opening. You will see.
I know it is hard but try to keep a positive attitude. You will find the job just perfect for you. I think I remember you saying your other job was a really long drive. Perhaps this is a way to find something closer to home.
It will happen! I know we always want things in our time....it is not always that way....try to be patient. During this time, do things for you.....take a long walk, read a book....do things that you like to do. (there are so many things we can do that don't cost much at all).

You are really a good friend, I would really like to find a Doctor that I could work with on weight loss, I really have a great passion for this since my surgery. I know that god has better things in mind for me. I'm just going to have to take the time and really look into this new path. I'm having to do jury duty this week, but next week will be the greatest start for me.

Jeannie.. Im so sorry to hear your out of work girl! I wish I had some advice for you but its just tough all over!! Keep looking IM sure something will turn up!! In the mean time maybe you could volunteer to help keep your mind off of the board um! Your so good with helping people and thur that maybe you can network and find out the inside scoop on who is hiring. Good luck!! Keep your chin up and remember ..what don't kill us will only make us stronger!! LOL
