Hi everyone. I got home today around lunch.  Surgery was Monday and he thought it would take about 2 hours due to 2 c-sections and the large incision from gall bladder surgery, but it only took 1 1/4 hours and everything went smoothly.
Trying to eat and drink like they want me to, but it is pretty hard because I have no hunger at all!!  My family had pizza at the hospital in the room and it didn't even bother me.  That was a shocker.
Sipping water, walking, sipping water, walking - don't have time for much else.
The gas was not bad at all.  I kept moving in the bed.  It was really a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and hope it continues that way.
I'm staying with my parents(4 hours from my house) but Dr Scott said I could go home next Wednesay or Thursday if I felt good - would just have to stop every hour to get out and walk around.
Dr. Scott is awesome and the hospital was great.  Never had a surgery experience like this before.

Thanks for all the well wishes.  Happy Dancin the pounds away!!

Hey glad youre doing well.   The nuses in my hospital ordered pizza one night. I smelled it all the way from my room!  The next night someone popped popcorn!   They sure know how to tease my food demons.  My mom was really sweet and went to the cafeteria to have all her meals.

I didn't have many gas pains either, but I walked a lot. I think it helped. After the 2nd day I found I didn't even need the pain meds except when I tried to get to sleep.

I also had to drive 4 hours home from Nashville to Atlanta.  We stopped 3 times for about 10 minutes each, so I could walk and pee.   I wore a button down sundress which was usefull because I could check and change my bandage froim the drain site.  I also opened it and let the air hit my tummy as we drove. I guess the truckers got quite a sight looking at all that belly.

I would caution to make sure you have a pillow and take a dose of pain meds bofore you start your drive home.  I never knew there were so many bumps in the road from here to Tennessee! That pillow was a Godend.

Congratulations on your 47 pounds!!  That is great...  This has been a lot easier than I thought it would be.  We went to the mall yesterday and walked once around(3/4 mile) the rest of the day I walked inside the house.  We went today and I walked 1.5 miles (twice).  It is so hot outside, I tried to walk outside but couldn't.
DH got me some Wendy's chili and I pureed it and pureed ff cottage cheese and ate it together, it was delicous!!  I still don't have any appetite, but I am staying on my schedule and eating and drinking like we were told to do.
Naps are wonderful in the afternoon and I've never been a nap person.

It was so good to meet you the other night.  We will probably head home next Wednesday if everything goes ok.

I have had some low grade fever at night, called Ginger today and she said that as long as it does not go over 101 and liquid tylenol takes care of it, it is probably just my body adjusting to the changes.

Keep up the good work!!
