I don't know about you but I get into a rut with breakfast and just eat the same thing...but this is so simple and just so yummy...I had to share.

The blueberries are in season and are so sweet!

Blueberries
Low fat Granola cereal
Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt (I like the vanilla they now have Dannon Light and Fit Carb and Sugar Control)

It is like a treat...I look forward to it.

Breakfast is usually the hardest meal to come up with something different for me.  Let me know if you have a good tip.

Take care,

Ginger

My granola box is at work right now and I am thinking it is the Kellogg's low fat granola....sorry I could be wrong...I get the same kind every time and don't really pay attention to the brand.  I like the one without raisins....the raisins are to sweet for me...makes me feel a little nauseous.

I don't count calories, fat or carbs...ever.  I just don't eat bread, grits, rice, pasta, potatoes, chips, crackers, or sugar.  Any of the empty carb stuff I don't eat.  I do eat oatmeal and Kashi Cereal (I like the twiggs and flakes) and low fat granola.  I also watch my portions and if I eat to much I make sure I work it off.  I weigh every morning to see where I am and how I am going to eat and exercise for the day.  I do exercise 5 - 6 times  a week and sometimes more!!  I love to exercise!

Hope that answers your question....

Take care,
Ginger

Ginger,
Thank you for the recipe and the information in the post. I am trying to significantly reduce carbs but it is always great to see what someone who has been successful is doing. The excercise is a must! I am finding that I feel bad if I miss a day, even if it is just walking my dogs.

I was in Target and saw the Kellogg's granola... it was the one with raisins and too high in sugar and everything.

I found Bear Naked Fit vanilla almond crunch

3 g sugar
2.5g fat
3 g Protein

I tried it this am with low fat vanilla yogurt and blueberries and it was great....

PS my husband has started to eat Wheat germ... it's much healthier but tastes like saw dust

It is the one without raisins and lower is sugar.

I love the Bear Naked too.

Also the new Dannon  Light and Fit, Carb and Sugar Control is really low in sugar and calories.

I am glad you liked it!
