amerigroup sucks please help!!

they now require that u attend a support group for at least 4 weeks, my surgoens office just called me with this sh said that people have been getting denied for not havin that documentation this is a problem because ive attend support groups for a year but i have no way of proving it, please, if anyone has a way that i can make some proof or something please telll me!! 

Sorry to hear that but I'm glad that you posted about them I was thinking about switching to them but did'nt. I know that at Atlanta Medical they weigh you in and are very good about giving you documentation that youo need I know that they are having groups next week they have 2 in one month back to back. I HAVE AMERIGROUP AND THEY WERE EXCELLENT. IT TOOK ME ONE WEEK TO BE APPROVED THROUGH THEM AFTER SENDING IN THE PAPERWORK. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED IT TOO AFTER DOING ALL OF MY CLEARANCES AND SEEING THE NUT FOR 3MTHS. I WAS TOLD THEY ADDED THAT BUT WHAT MY SURGEONS OFFICE DID WAS SENT IN THE PAPERWORK I HAD AND IF THEY DENIED ME I WOULD DO THE 4WKS OF SUPPORT GROUPS. WELL TURNS OUT THEY TOOK WHAT WE SENT IN AND APPROVED ME QUICK. I WAS APPROVED WITH NUTRITIONIST 3MTH VISIT, PCP CLEARANCE, PSYCHIATRIST CLEARANCE, CARDIOLOGIST CLEARANCE AND 2YRS OF CONSECUTIVE WEIGHT HISTORY. YOU MAY WANT TO TELL THEM TO SEND THE INFORMATION OFF AND IF THEY DENIE IT THEN TO GO AHEAD AND START YOUR SUPPORT GROUPS AND THEN RESEND IT. I WOULD TRY THAT IT WORKED FOR ME. IT WAS SENT TO AMERIGROUP ON MAY 28 AND I HAD APPROVAL ON JUNE 5 AND MY SURGERY WAS ON JULY 13. WHAT EVER YOU DO GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP
