need a new PCP!

Well I went to my first PCP diet visit today. My old PCP left the practice and I have a new guy. He seemed befuddled. He wasn't really keen on WLS. I told him what my insurance (UHC) wanted from the visit...etc... He said he had done anything like that before?! I am looking for someone in dunwoody/sandy springs...by Northside or St.Joseph's?? Any suggestions?

Dr Collett Hall, she is a good Dr, however, If your blood sugar is not in order, and the A1C is higher than 7. She will not clear you. otherwise she is an excelent PCP.

I like my PCP. His name is Dr. William Brad Harper. He's with a Piedmont Physician's group located on Roswell Road just a mile or two inside the Perimeter. Pretty close to Northside and St Joes, but doesn't work out of there (since he's a Piedmont dude). Nice young guy (43 years old). if you are interested, PM me and I'll get you his number.

You should definitely switch NOW. If they are not 100% behind you, it's gonna hurt you in the end. Not only are they not likely to get your paperwork in order, it seems like they won't be much support post op. You need someone who wil help you with labs and stuff.

Thanks for all the responses. I have an appt. Monday with a new PCP. She is out of the Emory Clinic at Perimeter. I had a bad feeling about the other guy. I don't need someone who doesn't believe in WLS.
