Questtion For All Dr.Titus Duncan Patients?????

Hello my OH Family,

Once approved, how long does it take for them to call you to schedule an appointment with the surgeon?

I would like to know that answer too.

It was less than a week before I received all of my dates.  They give you 5 dates at once.  When they were scheduling mine, I was informed that they took everyone that was approved during the week and call them on friday to schedule.  If you don't hear something by 4:30 Friday, call them and have them schedule you then.  That's what I had to do.  I had to stay on top of them.

Appointments:
1 - Initial Consult w. surgeon
2 - Endoscopy
3 - Pre-Op
4 - Surgery
5 - 1st Post op visit

#2 is where they put the camera down your throat.  They will put you in a twilight type of sleep.  I barely remember any of it.  It is done outpatient and you will need someone to go with you and drive you home.

#3 is where they'll get your blood work, all of your admission paper work, and you have to take a class in their office to make sure you understand what you are about to undergo.

Thank you, and after the first visit, is that when I would start the two week liquid diet before surgery?.

They'll give you all that information at your initial consult.  They ask you to to a high protein, low carb type diet to help shrink your liver.

The above post is very accurate. Though the office is good about keeping you posted, Dr. Duncan is very popular because he is he nations best, therefore they are always so busy. I found out I was approved on a Monday and got my dates on Friday. So stay on top of it and they will take good care of you. I'm a week post-op tomorrow and love them.
