Support Groups?
I am thinking of going to a support group tomorrow at Emory @Johns Creek. I have spoke to UHC about signing up for WLS. A case manager is going to call me Monday or by Tuesday. I know I need 6 months of a doctor supervised weight loss program and 6 months of counseling. I was trying to get started this month with both.
My question is if I go to the support group, how do I prove I was there? And do you think it will count even though i had not spoken to the case manager yet?
I have signed up for a "new patient" seminar conducted by one of the doctors I am thinking of using. I just want to try and have this month "count",

Since when does Emory Johns Creek have a support group meeting on Saturday? New one on me. I just went to a support group meeting there this past Wednesday.
Emory Johns Creek (as well as other hospital groups in the area) are well aware of the requirements for the SHBP people and there is a sign in. EJC, specifically has a spot where you check what insurance you have (specifically for the UHC/CIGNA SHBP people). And just because you haven't spoken to the case manager yet doesn't matter, it should still count no problem.
