Hair loss at 6 months!

OK, folks! I started this journey almost 6 months ago and have lost 57 pounds! Feeling great, taking vitamins, drinking water, eating lots of regular "real" protein. I have lost a whole bunch of hair in the last 2 weeks! Any suggestions or ideas on this! I have read somewhere that at 5-7 months post-op this is normal because , my body has lost that everyday supply of fat and goodies that causes overweight folks to have very healthy hair! Is this for real? I am not a girl who worries about her hair! It was fine and thin for years. Really thinning now!

Loosing hair after any procedure can be expected, but it seems to be the norm for this type of surgery. I have a friend who started loosing her hair but it was only temporary and it came back. I am only 1 month out but I am already fine and thin like you. My husband said we'll go wig hunting if and when this happens. I've thought about getting some supplements called HSN (Hair Skin and Nails). You can get it at most places where there are supplements but I'm having enough trouble trying to take the ones I am suppose to.

Try Nioxin Shampoo for thinning hair. They also ahve a breat multi-vitamin that really works. I have pcos, and this is the only thing I've found that really works for me to combat hairloss.

They have it in the salon at Walmart, and most nicer salons. It is cheapest in the one at Walmart though.

I use the shampoo, scalp therapy, vitamin, finishing creme. A bit pricey, but it really does work and worth it!

i read above that you said u have pcos. so do I and I'm in the beginning stages of gettin gthe surgery done. my hair is already thin but what is the name of the mutli-vitamin and where i can buy so i can at least get a headstart so my hair won't get any thinner after surgery

It's Recharging Complex by Nioxin. I hope it works for you, it worked fore me! YOu ahve to get iot at salons or nicer beauty supply stores. Be careful getting it from the black beauty supply stores, sometines their Nioxin is old because they don't sell as fast there. They also charge more.
