One step closer
Ok. Today I had my initial visit with surgeon, Dr. Macik. Finally found the office. I didn't realize that Power's Ferry Road was so long, or that his office was acutally AT Northside hospital, so I was a little late. Tiffany was very understanding. Dr. Macik was very business-y and right to the point. No chit-chat or silliness. I like that. He seemed to recognize that I am an informed patient and did not feed me a lot of redundant information, which I also liked. He didn't seem to think my previous abdominal surgeries would hinder a laproscopic procedure. I asked if he could go ahead an move my belly button over about an inch to the right since it is off center from a previous abdominoplasty, he just laughed. He said not to gain any weight between now and surgery and that I would be on a no-carb diet two weeks before surgery. (Not liquids, Yea!) He seemed to think that the Thanksgiving break schedule was doable. In and out fairly quickly.

I really like Dr. M. All that sounds exactly like what he told me. I start my two week diet on Monday ( a week from today). You can actually have up to 20 g of carbs a day, so it is not really no carb. I plan to eat a lot of spinach salad. We have a ton of zuchini and squash, so that will be on the menu as well. I just wish our tomatoes were ready.
