Good advice to give her. For example, I started my diet visits last November and I still havent had my surgery.   Some people think they're just gonna walk in the doctor's office and have the surgery the next week.   This is a piece of work. She would be wise to start asap and not procrastinate.

Even if she starts July 1 for instatnce, she wouldn't be ready to submit to insurance til January and still may have to wait a month or 2 for the actual surgery which would be Feb or Mar.

Invite her to join the board, and we'll help coach her along the way.

I am having Roux-n-Y hopefully first part of July.  Currently waiting on insurance approval (y'all keep your fingers crossed!).  Have finished jumping through all the hoops.  I have UHC HRA.  I imagine the costs are similar to what has already been posted.  Still think it is a bargain for the state as my co-morbidities cost them a lot now and they will disappear after surgery :)   I am confident that they "did the math" before they covered this.
