My surgery is on a Monday. I should go home on Wednesday. Do you think I will feel up to going to my son's first goat show on Saturday? I will just be sitting and watching, but it does involve about a 45 minute car ride. What do you experienced folks think?

I think you'll be ok with the car ride.  How much walking will be involved?  That's what got me for the first week and a half or so.  I went to target about a week after surgery and thought I my body was going to give out on me while I was there.

Across the United States, in 2006, twice as many people died from lack of health insurance as died from homicide.

Just walking from the car to the arena and back, so not much. Good. I hate to miss his first show!

I would have been fine to do something like that.  Heck, the day after I got home from the hospital, I went to Publix to do food shopping so I could get stuff for my mom and brother toeat.  I think we walked around Publix for nearly an hour.

Just don't plan on driving!  You'll be on pain meds...
