Tired of getting the run around

I feel like screaming but I know I must be practice patience. On Friday I called my insurance and they said they didn’t have my paper work that was sent on the 8th of May. I then called Dr. Duncan’s office and they said that they sent it to BCBS of GA. I have Horizon BCBS of NJ, because my company’s headquarters is in NJ. They then called the NJ BCBS and was told to fax it so they did. I called my insurance company on Tuesday they still didn’t have it. I asked for their fax number to where it should be faxed to and they gave it to me. I then called my insurance again today on the off change that they have my paperwork. I was informed that they do not accepted faxed predetermination! I told them that this was the first I had heard of this and that the doctor’s office was told to fax it and who’s attention to fax it too. They said no it has to be mailed and then it could take 30 to 45 days. Let me tell you how hot I was to find this out. I was just waiting for the lunch hour to end before I called
Dr. Duncan’s office, but luckly they called me. I explained to them what I just found out and they were just as upset and confused as I am. She said that she would call them to find out what is really going on and well try to get them to put a rush on this since it has been taking forever.
I just had to get that out…. Thanks for listening

I am sorry for all your trouble and I understand! I am going through a similar situation in which the dr's office has faxed the info twice and the insurance company does not have it.

I am so sorry to hear that.... I am also going through Dr. Duncan. I just got off the phone with them and they said my doctor need to re-write the clerance letter before they submitt it. It is always something, but I feel like I am so close to changing my life for the better. Just hang in there. Call back and see if the next person tell you the same thing. GOOD LUCK!

Ahh, I hope I don't have to go through all of that. I am going through enough trying to get all of these clearances done and finding a PCP who will support my decision in Rny.

Sorry girlie. We are in the same boat. I am waiting on my paperwork too.  Seriously thinking of bribing Dr. Voellinger. All he has to do is write a clearance letter, which I'm sure is saved on his PC and he just changes the names and co-morbidities. How long could that take huh???

Sorry to gripe on your post, but if you're having a pity party it's better with friends.

I am so glad that I am not along in this process.  You do all that you should do to get everything done and all you want is for them to do their part and approve you!!!!
Lashelle anyone can join my pitty party, like you say its more fun when you have it with friends

*smile*   You are definitely not alone. I don't know what I'd do without this board.  Everyone is so nice, even the mean people.

I have called my surgeons office 3x a day . So for it has worked to get everything ready for insurance.  I have also e-mailed my surgeon directly. Kinda dangerous when your risking ******g off the office staff, since they really run the show and not the doctor, but it has worked so far.    He actually reads his e-mails himself and responds within an hour or so.  I know I could NEVER get the ladies in the office to put him on the phone, so if you can get an e-mail for the surgeon try to see if he can intervene on your behalf.
