Waiting....waiting

Tiffany at Dr. Macik's office submitted my paperwork to State Health on Friday. I was told by SHBP that they currently have about a 24 hour turn around time on approvals, so that means that I could have a date sometime this week! I don't know how the Memorial Day holiday will effect their workload, but I am thinking positively!

I have been so busy with the end of school, that I have not been on the boards lately so I am trying to catch up on everyone.  Has anyone heard from TalkSoup? I hope she is doing well!

You are one step ahead of me. My papers are on Dr. V's desk waiting for a signature.  I am so happy for all of us shbp people. It's great to see it all coming together. We need to all get together and celebrate after everyone get's their surgery.

Want me to call Dr. V and tell him to get a move on? I can get mean if I need to!

Nah.. I call them 3x a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  They'll either think I'm crazy, or desperate.   I figure I have a 50/50 chance of either going to the top or bottom of the stack depending on how they see it.


They were furious that I sent Dr. V a personal e-mail.  I guess I was supposed to go through the gatekeeper.  :-)  I'll e-mail him again if they don't have it done by Friday.

Well, then the email shouldn't be public!
And, aren't we all desperate at this point?!

I'm here.  Been lurking mostly.  I'm doing fine.  I had no problems with surgery except for a pesky fever that lasted about 5-6 days after I got home.  I'm pretty sure it was an autoimmune reaction and if that's the only autoimmune reaction I'm getting from having major surgery?  I'm NOT going to complain.

I officially go back to work on Tuesday (after Memorial day) for the 3 days of teacher post-planning.  I signed up for 2 classes this summer at Southern Poly, they started this past week.

I went to the surgeon's office for my 2 week follow up on Wednesday, and had lost a total of 18 pounds since my pre-op appt 2 days before surgery!  Now, in total, I have lost 85.2 pounds since February 2008.

Got all fingers crossed for you that your approval comes expeditiously!  A Cigna case manager called me with the news long before I got the official letter.

I am hoping to hear something this week! Fingers and toes are crossed and I am trying to be patient and calm. So far, so good!

uggghhh.........The Case Manager for Cigna is on vacation starting today and won't be bac****il next week  which probably means there will be no info. before then...
