Vendor fair this Thursday, 5/21

Hi, y'all!

Just wanted to let you know that Dr. Dennis Smith's support group will be a vendor fair this Thursday.  Several vendors will have samples to share.  From what I understand, there will either be representatives from the companies there or a patient volunteer giving out samples.  I know on the list is Unjury, Bariatric Advantage, a chiropractor, a dermatologist, among others.  I'll try to get the full list tomorrow and post it here.   I believe there will also be some type of raffle or door prizes.

I just might make that meeting.  I need a good DS support meeting. Are there many DS patients at his support meetings? Is he there?

Yes, Actually, his Thursday night meetings seem to be the most popular meeting/location and have the most DS people....and some are several years out.

I'm pretty sure this will -not- be a regular sit-down meeting (with a speaker) since there's a vendor fair, but I'm sure people will be mingling.  Hopefully the old-timers will still be coming since there's free stuff!      I'd be happy to introduce you to some of the DSers that I've met.  Most of the people that regularly attend the meeting are Dr. Smith's patients, but all WLSers (pre-op, post-op and hopefully-op) and their support people are always welcome and there are usually people from other surgeons who attend and occasionally other states as well. 

Dr. Smith usually isn't there unless he's the scheduled speaker.  (He just presented last Saturday.)

I just called Sue, the coordinator of the meetings, and she gave me the following list of vendors.  As I said, some will have people from the companies there and some will have volunteers working the tables. They should have samples, tastings, brochures, etc.    There will also be some raffle items.  (Must be present to win.).
