Hi Lillian,   Congratulations on your surgery!  I take Bariatric Advantage Multiple Vitamins.  They are orange flavored and chewable and have been taking them since day one.  I also take the sublingual B-12.  You can find their site on line at bariatricadvantage.com.  Hope this helps, good luck!!

They didn't tell you what to take before the surgery!!!!!!!!!!!  Why are you just now getting this info?
Call your doctor and have them advise you, that's what you paid them for!   They should have educated you about this pre-op

i totally agree, CALL YOUR DOCTOR ASAP!!!

my doctor sat down with me 1 week prior to surgery and gave me all my rx's and told me what they were for and how to take them.

At about 2 weeks post op i was able to swallow pills for preventing gallstones with water with no issue.

everyone is different, but your doc should have educated you on this.

if you cant reach him send me a message and i will help you out

I use Caltrate chewables, Flintstones Complete chewables (higher iron than the ones that say "with iron), and sublingual B12.

You have to find vitamins that you like. I do not like the flavors of Bariatric Advantage, I have the band so the flavors are limited. My doctors office drilled in to our heads take Flinstones Complete and I went back to that. The side effects of not taking them is not worth it. First I had anemia now I have a vitamin B12 defficency that I have to take prescriptions for. Ask your doctor but the important thing to do is find a vitamin you like that your doctor agrees to. Good luck!

U CAN ACTUALLY GET ALL OF IT FROM ANY STORE INCLUDING WAL-MART OR CVS OR WALGREENS. I TAKE THE CHEWABLE CALTRATE 600-D PLUS (REALLY GOOD FLAVOR) THEY ALSO SELL THE B-12 THAT JUST DISSOLVES UNDER THE TONGUE AND AT FIRST I DID THE GUMMY BEAR VITAMINS THE I WENT TO THE CENTRUM SILVER (I CAN'T TAKE IRON) BUT THEY HAVE MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF CHEWABLE IN THE CENTRUM BRAND.
HOPE THIS HELPS!! CONGRATS ON THE START OF YOUR NEW BEGINNINGS & GOOD LUCK I'M SURE YOU'LL DO GREAT
