I'm on the loser's bench!
I'll be back at work the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I had 13 days of sick leave. So, it gave me a good 2 1/2 weeks. Going back to work after Memorial day, means I miss the kids...have 3 days of post-planning and I'm out for the summer. Not half bad planning if I do say so myself!
And the funny thing is that I got an email from Cigna Health Steps to weight loss that I was ready for step 10 now, I think! I wish I could figure out how to cancel that thing. Maybe when I'm done with pain meds.

Ts, I am glad you are home and feeling pretty well. The fight was worth it!

No surprises other than I think I'm doing better than I expected. Maybe it's because of my general attitude about the whole thing. I mean, when I checked into the hospital Wednesday morning, my blood pressure was 120/64. Not something expected for someone preparing for surgery. I had no apprehension, no concerns, no worries...just very excited.
Also, having a great support system helps. My mom is fabulous...CuriousCat is wonderful (she even picked me up today)...and I got to meet Brenda H. Brenda's and my time tables for surgery coincided really well with her surgery one week before mine. I think that's a big help too. And my brother...I wasn't originally going to tell any of my family about the surgery. He happened to be visiting when I got my approval and I did tell him. First words out of his mouth were "Do you need me here to help?" He's driving up from Orlando and he'll be here within the hour. He's grown up a bit, I guess. A few years ago, my mom was in the hospital for 10 days and rehab for 7 weeks and he couldn't be bothered to come visit her (and take a load off of me) for a weekend. He's going to be here helping me out for a week. So, if there are any words of wisdom, I'd say your support system is the most important.
