Had the procedure done Monday November 21, 2011 and I'm 6 lbs down so far. Still following liquid diet at this point. Haven't been too hungry....but this has not been the easiest thing to do!!!! I say that cause the meal plan gets real boring....QUICK!!!!Why don't you ask Lala how she is doing since she had hers about a yr. ago? I suspect she's not posting on here anymore b/c she found out what a failure that surgery is!
Why do u think the ASMBS does NOT recommend that surgery??? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK! You will lose a few pounds initially..........then it stretches back out.
CERTAIN DRS. PREY ON DESPERATE BARIATRIC PATIENTS THAT HAVE REGAINED. If you notice...........most reputable Drs. do NOT do that procedure!
Research on the revision forum.......and check with the ASMBS. I would hate to see u get screwed! :-(
Well I dont have to pay for the procedure, so I wont be losing any money. My insurace covers it except for like 30.00 bucks so no loss i used to spend that on out to eat food probably in one sitting.... I do just want to jump start my liquid again and I am having trouble so mine is not so much for regain or anything like that. im still losing about 1 to 2 lbs a week anyway, also i exercise faithfully 3 to 4 days a week curves and the ymca. He explained that it doesnt work for everybody and that it is something new that they are trying so im okay with that. He is looking to see the size since im a year out anyway. They are trying to do more intense followup within a year to try and see why some peoples stretch and some dont and see how the procedure will work is you do it within a year of surgery. So im okay with that, it might help them figure out in the future how to help weight loss patients, since i had to do the endoscopy anyway ill try and see what it does.
