A Prayer for Zabs and My Other OH Friends

Zabs and I were talking at the DS breakfast about how it seemed like  everybody else is getting their approvals except us.   OK, I admit, I let the little red devil  on my left shoulder whisper in my ear, and I felt hopeless and depressed about the whole wls saga.  Well, thank goodness my ever faithful angel piped right into my right ear "Girlfriend, he  ain't even telling the truth.  You know God has your back, so you need to take a big girl pill and get over this pity party. We have a future to prepare for!" Thank God for my ever present Angel. 

       If there is anyone else out there that feels like things are never going to happen, take a moment to meditate on this poem. Whether you're unemployed and can't seem to find a job, your kids won't act right, husband is being foolish, finances are out of whack, can't get the new baby's room in order :-),  can't get those last 20 lbs off, are tired of waiting on that surgery date ...  Know, everything will work out in God's perfect timing. 

       One of my favorite gospel singers Dottie Peoples has a line in one of her songs... "He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be there right on time!"  God knows your heart's desires, and if you trust in Him, He will provide them.  Psalm 37:4 

       You'll look back on  your NOW one day and wonder why you were so silly to doubt thinks wouldn't work out.  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit-

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow -

You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than

It seems to a faint and faltering man;

Often the struggler has given up

When he might have captured the victor's cup;

And he learned too late when the night came down,

How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -

The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It might be near when it seems afar;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit. 


                                      

Thank you for that wonderful post!  I am fighting with insurance to get my hernias fixed and have the skin removed, but I am ok with that now.  It will happen when it is supposed to happen.  We are also waiting for our credit to turn around so we can buy a house.  Again, I wi**** would happen now, but there is a reason that we have to wait.  I am not a patient person, but I need to tell myself that when things don't go the way I want them to that God has a reason for it.  I may not understand why at the moment, but God will make it clear to me when it DOES happen.  So again, I thank you for helping me through my tough times!

This is so true. It took me about 7 years and 4 diffrent insurance plans and a lawyer to get an approval.  I even changed procedues and drs serveral times. So I know that God has a divine plan for us all. Hang in there girl.
