Surgeon Picked, appointment made

OK, so after the Six Flags fiasco (see blog), after talking to other picky eaters, I'm ready to do the damn thing!

Doc is picked (Dr. Johnson), consult, NUT, exercise therapist, labwork, upper GI, EKG all scheduled.  All goes well, hopefully looking @ August - September timeframe.

Congratulations!!    It will be here before you know it.

I think it was because I actually spoke with him for 15 minutes after the seminar with one of his patients I know.  I felt really comfy with him and he was straight, no chaser.  however he did it in a way that wasn't condescending @ all.  He used humor to put me @ ease - not saying that I'm looking for Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, or Will Farrow to do my surgery (hell to the no, as Whitney says!!!).

I also like the fact that Emory JC has a seperate bariatric wing.

I meet w/ Anna L. for exercise therapy Saturday.
