I just pulled this from Cigna's website. It is the cover page of the wls guidelines. Does this mean they are possibly going to change the requirements again on 5-15-09, since that is the  rewiew date??  I will be scrambling to get my paperwork in by the 15th!!  My last pre-op testing is May 1. I hope they can ru**** through.

LaShelle,
I don't think so.  I do think they periodically review their policy and make changes as needed...but not significant changes.  All of Cigna's policies have review dates...not just the bariatric policy.

Hello!

I work very closely with insurance in a bariatric program.  Usually what that means it they will review to add or delete something.  For instance, if they do not cover the Sleeve, that might be something they decide to add at that point.  Usually the policy itself does not change as far as guidelines (6 month diet, etc), but they can do anything they want at that point.  Something small or something big.
