CALLING ALL DR.DUNCAN'S PATIENTS
Did you take your packet in person or mail it? I mailed mine, gave them a week, and then called to check up on it. During the call I said I wanted to check on my paperwork and see if it had been submitted. She pulled my paperwork right then and made sure it was in order and submitted that day. I was cleared quickly by my insurance but the insurance company dropped the ball on faxing the approval. I had to keep after them to make sure they got the letter to the Duncan's office.
Good luck. Keep us posted!

It took about 3 weeks. I called once a week or so just to check on it. Tried not to be annoying but let them know I was on top of things. All of my approval and stuff fell in the middle of Thanksgiving and then Christmas so it was a pain to get a hold of people on all ends. Once the holidays were over everything went quickly & smoothly.
my process did'nt take but 3 weeks that's including wls. Back then a lot of people wasn't having surgery. I went for one of my post-op visits last week and one of the people that help get approvals said there are a lot of patients wanting to have wls so there is a waiting list and your position is dependent on when you complete and submit all paper work including clearences. We have to keep on mind that there a lot of people applying for wls and only 2 people in the dr.s office doing the paper work. What I did was found out who was the coordinator for my last name and I was in constant contact with her. The front desk give you limited info.
Good luck.
