Hi Everyone,

Does any of you do medical billing? I am interested in getting to learn more about this career? Any info you can give me would be great, also i would like to do online schooling and dont know what is a good online school, anyone that can help me with this i would be very thankful.

NOT SURE ABOUT MEDICAL BILLING, BUT DO KNOW OF A COMPANY WHERE YOU CAN DO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR DATA ENTRY FFROM HOME. TRY WEST AT HOME . I HAVE SEVERAL CLIENTS WHO WORK FOR THEM. IT IS A REPUTIBLE COMPANY AND NOT A SCAM. I HAVE SEEN ACTUAL PAYCHECKS FROM THEM. YOU AVERAGE $8-10 PER HR. NOT MUCH, BUT DECENT FOR A WORK AT HOME JOB.

If you contact them, let me know how it works out. There are a fwew other companies like this, but I can't think of the names offhand. I will post them the next time I have a client that works for them. I have one client who makes a decent living as a secret shopper. She supplements her SSI with this income.

If you are seeking work from home BEWARE OF SCAMS that want you to pay money to apply unless you know someone who actually works for them and is making money.

Most of those companies in the newspaper are ripoffs.

Nothing other than what's on the website. I do have several clients who work for them, so it is legit. Have you done customer service call center work? You have to take a 35 minute test before they will hire you. There are also some requirements for the type of computer, internet connection, headset, etc. You will have a better chance of them hiring you if you have some experience. Also, they don't take out taxes, so you will have to pay your own at tax time.

I do medical billing for a large corporation. It's not horrible, but it's DEFINITELY not something I'd pay to be educated in. You can find entry level positions (well, under normal economic cir****tances) that don't require experience. That's what I did. It's pretty mundane, but it pays the bills. I can't wait to go to college next year (after DH graduates).... it's my little light at the end of the tunnel. I don't hate my job or the company I work for, I'm just not cut out for this.
