Well i had my surgery on wednesday and got to celebrate my birthday with sugar free jello in my room.  How fun.  Im kinda confused since they let me have all those "foods" then i come home to only protien powder. I only have the vanilla and chocolate.  Looks like i will need to order some more really soon.  I have also been unable to find the calcium citrate. Only the carbonate so far and i cant take it, so its gonna be tough come tomorrow.  This is my first day home and its already hard with the kids and all, but i guess it'll get better right?

Ginger, i tried to send you a few text messages, but i guess you didnt get em.

Well, wish me well!  And i hope this journey gets better cuz so far, its been kinda rough

Im so sorry I didnt get your text!!  I have the calcium citrate for you.   YOu think your honey could meet me somewhere this weekend?   You can use the vanilla protein power and mix in different things like strawberries and stuff for different flavor choices.  Dr Hart should have gave you a list of things you could eat in a few day.  SOups and stuff so you should be good on protein for a little while.  Dont stress!!  Im glad your doing well!!

Hugs.

Hello Gin,
I'm glad that you are doing well. Your journey has just begun, just remember that your portein is very important and water too. There are many places that you can get your Calcium from, I use Bariatric Advantage to get most of the things that I use. Mainly because I chew them and they do not really taste bad. If you need some other support help I'm here if you need me.

I'm a support leader on the southside of Atlanta, at Henry Medical Center. I'm just a little over 2.5 years post opp and I'm lost 265 pounds.

Congrats and welcome home!  Take one day at a time, be patient and do what your doctor has told you to do and you'll be fine.  Stay close to your support group, family, etc.
