Come on Everyone join me in a great adventure!!!!!!!

OK, it is January and I am thinking about the year ahead of me......I want to challenge you to think of one thing you want to accomplish by the end of the year.....what do you want to work towards?  Last year I wanted to go white water rafting and I did twice.

This year my Goal is to do a marathon, because of a knee problem I may not run it but run/walk it and that is OK with me!!! I want to get so incredible cut!!!!  YEAH!!!!!!!  And you know I will do it!!!! I have put it out there and I am writing it down!!!!! AND WORK VERY HARD!!!!!! BUT I BELIEVE IN ME AND I WILL DO IT!!!! AND SO CAN YOU!!!!

What are your goals for this 2009!!!! PUT IT OUT THERE!!!!! AND WORK HARD!!!! YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO!!!!!!

TAKE CARE,

Ginger

I love this...and I love your enthusiasm!!

I want to be able to run a mile and not have to stop/walk the whole time!  I have NEVER been able to actually RUN a whole mile!

Also, I want to make it to goal before my year is up!  I had my three month check up with Dr Williams office yesterday and the nutritionist informed me that I've lost 40% of the weight I need to lose...in only THREE months!  So, I figure I can lose the last 60% in the 9 months!

Surgery day: 339 lbs (09/29/08)   Current: 168.5 lbs (2/20/10)  GOAL: 160 lbs

Not only am I healthy now...I look better...I feel better.....but, MOST importantly...I, FINALLY, LOVE MYSELF!

Ginger.. your such an inspiration to us all.. I do believe  you can and will do anything you set your mind to!  As I mentioned last night in the group meeting (thank you by the way for all of you being so open and welcoming me in)  I just want to feel normal!! Do normal things that normal people do.  Nothing spectacular just  standing /walking all day and being able to get out of the bed the next day!  Riding wave runners/ski-doos/ skiing/ boating /horse back ridding  and just  look and feel normal!   There are soo many little things that I want to be able to do but more than anything I want to be normal and feel normal and not like I'm part of a freak show!!
Hugs..
The other Ginger!! LOL

Hi Ginger,

It was a pleasure meeting you last night.  You are very sweet, thank you for the kind compliment.
Now, let me tell you something.....I promise as long as you keep doing everything you are doing.......and believe in yourself......YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING YOU WANT.....AND REALLY NOT EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT IT!!!!

By the way.....I think you are already normal.  You just have to "know" it.  So, many people including me have a problem seeing themselves as being of normal weight and no longer obese.  It will take awhile but it comes.

Also, I truely believe "we" should love ourselves at whatever size we are......or whatever point we are on our journey......

Take care,

Ginger

Ginger,
First let me repeat what Ginger said you are so inspiring. I remember coming in to your office before surgery and you were so encouraging.  I was even so glad to see you when you came to visit the morning of my surgery. The meeting Tuesday night was awesome! I am pumped! I stopped by Target on my way home and bought some hand weights and exercise bands for those days I can not make it to the gym. I am so glad I have a "normal" work schedule now that will allow me to come to the meetings.

My goal is to run in a 5k by the time the Walk From Obesity and Heart Walk come back. I may not be the fastest I just want to be able to run in them the entire 5k! Also when I am under 200 lb I am going to treat myself to horseback riding lessons.

Thank you for being such an inspiration. You are a great person.
