Congratulations and best of luck to you!

Dr. Dennis Smith was my first choice, but I thought UHC was out of network for him, and I saw in another post where you said that is what you have.  Has that changed?   Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!

 Hello, Beverly,

UHC will pay for him out-of-network--the balance for me is $2900 for him and $1000 for his assistant.  I wanted a DS and I wanted him, so I "pulled" off the insurance layers until they said they would pay the out-of-network percentage.  After Dee confirmed this, we just went forward.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks for your response.

Congrats

And good job sticking to your guns to get Dr Smith. I have been fighting my insurance company to have Dr Smith do the DS for 6mo. And still fighting.

I am so happy for you........ and of course jealous.

Keep us posted.

Oh, sorry...I had to make about four calls to my insurance company and MADE them research and research, and finally, they gave me thumbs up.  Guess I was lucky; he was out of network and they were not sure about coverage.

But, good luck to you and stick by your guns, and keep us posted on your progress.
