Sugar free/ low fat treats
banana pudding parfaits
1 box sf vanilla pudding
1 box sf vanilla pudding
1 small can crushed pineapple (juice drained)
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 large container sf cool whip
4 bananas sliced
1 box sf vanilla wafers (try murrays)
mix 2 pudding packages and make according to directions. add pineapple and vanilla to pudding mixture. gently fold in 1/2 of the cool whip. layer pudding, cookies, and bananas in cups (i use the clear party cups) or do it in a trifle or casserole dish. once all are full, top with remaining whipped cream. garnish with cherries, crushed cookies, sliced pineapple, mint leaves, crushed nuts, etc. a cherry and mint leaf would be pretty for Christmas.
this is quick, pretty, and affordable. the vanilla and whipped cream makes it taste more homemade. you can do it low fat by using skim milk or soy milk for the pudding mixture.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Ginger
Ginger,
All "political correctness" aside, telling people who you don't know to have a "Merry Christmas" is just plain disrespectful of other people's beliefs. One of the founding reasons for the United States was "FREEDOM OF RELIGION". Because of that, we are just a huge melting pot of different races, religions, beliefs, etc.
I hope you have a wonderful Hanuukah! Enjoy the potato latkes, stuffed cabbage, rainbow cookies, and stuffed derma!
With that, I'm going back to listening to my favorite Jewish singer from Brooklyn sing holiday songs.

Political correctness is a cop out! I believe I have a right to "Freedom of Religion" as well as "Freedom of Speech" as much as the next person does. I choose to say Merry Christmas and celebrate Jesus Christs Birthday! You may choose something completely different and that is your right as well. If you told me Happy Hanuukah, I would politely say thanks. I do not understand why I have offended YOU by expressing in general terms Merry Christmas to my OH Buddies! I meant no disrespect!! What you have to understand is that I personally feel that Christians try not to offend other religions so therefore we sometimes take a back seat to things and do not say what we think and feel. I believe that it is our job to stand strong and and keep Christ in Christmas! If you choose to say Happy Hanuukah then that is your choose jsut as if you choose to say happy holidays!! YOu have a decision to make and so do I. I do not mean to offend anyone but if I do so by expressing my beliefs then I appoligize for offending you but I will not change my opinions or believes in order to prevent hurting someones feelings. I will say it again....... MERRY CHRISTMAS! No disrespect meant so take it as you will.
I do not think you said Merry Christmas as an insult to others. Sometimes people read to much into post. I believe you were just expressing Hoilday cheer to those who do celebrate Christmas and those who indeed celebrate Christmas not taking away from those who do not. This is indeed a melting pot and there is nothing wrong with expressing Holiday cheer to someone. Ginger, pls don't take the attack personal I am sure she may of not meant it as an attack but it has come across as such and I know you did not mean to attack anyones religious freedom by wishing those who celebrate Christmas a Merry Christmas.. I am rambling trying to be politically correct in my words... Bottom Line you Wanted to Say Merry Christmas to those who celebrate Christmas to those who don't you did not say their Holiday was not important, you just wanted to spread Cheer to those who celebrate the holiday that you celebrate. Heck I live in The USA and I celebrate Boxing Day and it is hard to celebrate b/c I usually have to work and where I am from it is a National Holiday and businesses are closed. So on Dec. 26th to all of those who celebrate Boxing Day..Happy Boxing Day, Dec. 26th Happy Kwanzaa, I believe Hanuukah and Ramadan are now?/ So Happy Hanuukah and Ramadan to those I have left out it is not PERSONAL I just don't know any other Holidays during this period
