Bad Test Results :-(
I have PCOS and have always had elevated glusose, but was hoping it didn't turn into full diabeties.
I just want to go home, put my head under a pillow and cry, but I can't leave work because I have to get everything done before Thanksgiving. I have stacks of files needing to be processed all over my desk.
This just confirms I need to get the surgery because I don't see any other way of getting this weight off. I just love food too much to be a sucessful dieter. I am so scared and angry at myself for letting my weight and health get this out of control.

I can relate to your story. I received the same bad news from my doctor a while back. It was definitely one of the worse days of my life. Trust me, I cried, yelled, got angry with myself for not paying attention to the doctor when she said it would happen if I did not change my ways, rebelled by acting as if I did not have it, and then accepted that it was something that I would have to manage before it managed me. The good thing is that it was discovered early, so you can take the proper steps to control it before it gets worse. It is also one of the reasons why I have decided to go through with the surgery. We are all here to support you :-)

Since WLS, I've become lactose intolerant and have tried just about everything on the market. I love the Silk Soy Plain, closest thing in taste and consistency to milk I've found.
