Come out, come out wherever you are!
Hi Jama, I remember being at the point that you are now. I also had problems with nausea.
Believe it or not it will get better. There are a few things that still make me sick, so I just avoid them. Your body has been through major surgery on the inside, even though you don't look like it on the outside. Thank goodness.
Just keep working everyday and you will make it to goal. this is a life changing event, but soooo worth it.
Just remember nothing tastes as good as thin looks.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Today is a pretty good day. I went to a juice bar at the World Gym and got one of their smoothies with 40 grams of protein (Since I've been so sick I haven't been getting in enough protein.) and it is pretty good. I am still sipping on it. A Smoothie King is about to open close to me also. I think I have been drinking too close to eating time and although I am going at a snails pace, I have to really wait between bites. It seems really easy for me to get one bite too many down before I know it.
Hello, I'm Crystal and I am hoping to get approved by my insurance for the Lap Band surgery. I have my 1st appointment with an endocrinologist on Dec 15th, then a follow-up with my doctor on Dec 17th. I would have had this part out of the way in July, but the guy I was dating was so against it...I let him affect my decision. But now that he's gone, I already feel lighter (ha ha) and hope that I'll be able to continue with my journey.
Hi Crystal, Congrats on getting started. I know "breaking up is hard to do," but when a man thinks he know best about our health there is a problem! I had the opposite problem. My fiance wanted me to have the surgery but I wasn't ready. Now, four years later, I have had the surgery and the fiance is just a long distance friend!
Hi everyone. I'm Makeila. I live in Rome. I'm pre-op. LapBand hopefully by March or April. I'm 3 months into my 6 month diet. Currently at 250 lbs. Hope to be at around 150 (personal goal) one day. I'm a mother of 3 wonderful girls (ages 9, and twins who are 2) and a wife. I work for the state in Floyd County.
I've ben researching wls for years and I'm very excited. I'm also equally nervous because I know I've got some major changes I need to make as far as my eating habits go. I'm working on it everyday though. I pray everyday for strength.
I have also read these boards for a long long time and I find it very comforting to know that others out there are struggling with the same demons as I am.
